Scotties And Basket

A couple of things to share.....I lost interest in the One Block Wonder for now so I made this little Scottie wall quilt. Ooh and yes I did it! How can anyone resist making one of these cute little fabric baskets. I used Pink Penguin's tutorial for the basket. It was easy, fun and fast..I'm sure I'll make more of these in the future for gifts. OK, I've been surfing around blogland seeing all the BEAUTIFUL stitchery from the Stitchers' Angel Swap and the NPNT group. These ladies do such a great job! I'm a stitcher wannabe.........so for my very first attempt I'll have a go at the Stitchers' Angel Sewing Bag A free pattern by May Britt. If you haven't already and you love stitchery go check them out!

Frog Stitching

Froggy went a courtin and he (she) did ride A-hu......I have that song stuck in my head. This is my progress so far. I decided to add a 4th cube, so I'm doing a little frog stitching. I'm sure the sinus medication is making me loopy today. This cold just hit all of the sudden, no one else in the family has it. I probably picked it up while shopping over weekend......blahhhhh. I hope everyone is having a great week! Froggy went a courtin and he did ride A-hu.... : )

One Block Wonder With Cubes

Thursday already where did the week go? I've been having fun with my new project. It was easier than I imagined, actually the hardest part was deciding how to arrange the blocks! There are so many possibilities! This is the fabric I chose.

This is the fabric now! LOL I have all the half hexagons sewn into rows..tomorrow I plan on sewing the rows together and playing around with borders.
Happy Stitching,

Fabrics And A New Project

Hi everyone! Oooooh my did I hit a good sale yesterday. Quilter's Refuge in Decatur had it's anniversary sale. Ok are you ready for this.....$3.00 a yard on selected fabrics! I don't see that around here very often so it was exciting. LOL Glad they had refreshments to keep hubby busy. I have a new project in mind I've been wanting to try one of these for awhile. A One Block Wonder with cubes. I'm thinking it's really going to be hard to align the fabrics. That's always stopped me in the past from trying....so we'll see what happens wish me luck.. : )

Happy Quilting
