This flimsy is from a kit by Connecting Threads it's on my to quilt list.

I'm sitting here with a cup of coffee relaxing. Mmmmm good! It's Labor Day weekend what are your plans? I'll visit my mother for a big get together with the family! Do some sewing maybe even get this little top quilted who knows. Have a great and safe holiday weekend!

I started this little applique wallhanging today, I hope to have it finished tommorrow....The pattern is by Lori Smith........"Twenty Little Fat Quarters"

This pattern was fun it's from the Fons & Porter "Love Of Quilting" magazine Nov/Dec 2007 issue.

I'm still here doing the kickin chicken. Did you miss me? LOL Life gets alittle crazy sometimes. It's nice when everything settles back down to NORMAL.........sigh... Here are a few projects I've completed lately.....plus one applique in progress. I would like to thank quilt bloggers for all your inspiration.... I see so many beautiful quilts and projects . My sister called this morning and said she had something for me. I had no idea what it could be and she wouldn't tell! LOL This is what she gave me! A Dresden (hand pieced)quilt top. Plus a YoYo quilt. She went to an estate sale and found these in a box marked $5.00! Thank you Sissy!!!! The YoYo quilt has approximately 1,681 yoyos.

I'm hooked on little quilts. This is my 2nd and I have a 3rd almost ready. It's a beautiful day the weather is so nice....I love summer!

Playing With Fabric

I made this little top last night playing around with 1.5 inch strips and 3.5 inch squares. It was fun and very relaxing. I've been in the mood to sew just haven't been able to decided on a pattern and stick with it! Lately everything ends up in the UFO pile. What I like about these little no think just sew quilts is you never know what you're going end up with! Plus, it really doesn't matter as long as you ENJOY the process!

Photos From The Quilt Show

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great week! Saturday I went to a lovely quilt show sponsored by The Birmingham Quilters Guild. It was alot of fun seeing all the gorgeous quilts not to mention the vendors! LOL I did manage to pick up a few goodies.....A Moda layer cake(Garden Inspirations) plus a few extra yards. Notice the date on my camera isn't correct? grrr I had to change the mode from movie to photos. Somehow, I ended up changing the date. Hmmm I'm thinking maybe it's time for new glasses. :)

It's Monday Yippie! I see it's time to mow the lawn again.......quilt weeds they just keep popping up. LOL Does anyone else have this problem?
