Another Christmas Stitchery

I'm so cold today it feels like my bones are chilled. I've turned up the heat. I even have an extra pair of socks on my feet! brrrrrrrr..... Maybe some hot chocolate will hit the spot. I just finished this stitchery based on a Gal Pan design called RolyPoly. I love the Santa he's sooooo cute! I'm really getting hooked on stitchery and my back stitch is improving yah! What I really need is a needle keep just for my embroidery projects. I misplaced two needles while making this top. Hopefully, I won't find them the hard way (by getting an unexpected stick) : )

Y Seams

I pulled red fabrics .......OK hmmmm...... to practice inset seams....... My motivation for this learning experience ?......Trying to piece hexagons.....need I say more. I've always avoided inset seams but, there are so many wonderful patterns that require Y seams....that I decided it was time for me to be buckle down and learn the dreaded Dot to Dot sewing....LOL

My first 8 pointed star! Woo Hoo! I did it...I love it........this little 8 pointed star has given me such a feeling of accomplishment. Now, do you think I'm ready for a Lone Star quilt? LOL....(repeating to myself) baby steps......baby steps.

Hexagons

A hexagon top I'm working on today...... Maybe, I'll add another border or just quilt it and call it done.... I gave up on the English paper piecing for now.....so, I thought I would use a few of my hexagons to make this little wall hanging .
